Sounds to me like somebody didn't pay their drug debt

RED BLUFF, Calif. - Two people are in jail in Tehama County following a possible kidnapping and ransom exchange, said Red Bluff Police Sergeant Ruben Murgia on Sunday.

The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. Just after 11:00 a.m. Red Bluff police were informed that a person was kidnapped out of state, and was being driven to Red Bluff for a ransom exchange. The victim was described in a press release as being a 30-year-old man from the state of Oregon.
