    2. The day was surreal. Absolutely beautiful weather. She met two young bodybuilders from Wisconsin who had just checked out of their hotel when the planes hit. They were dragging their luggage through the ash. Never had been to NY before, no way to get out. They came across the river with her, took whatever transportation was available to Newark Penn, where I picked them all up. Their parents drove out to come and get them. They’d be about 40, now. Seems like yesterday.

  4. This post has no link on my telephone.
A search showed it on 'American Waterways' website.

    Excellent!
Before this, I heard nothing about this event...

  7. Reminds me what we do for each other and the greatness of this country. Also why it is good to hate Islam and barbarism.

  8. Here in Philly we had chaos 2 hours every direction; We figured we were next. Every year this gets to me in a unique way thats hard to explain. Great piece! If we could only get the country together to save it before the commie poison takes hold. Im not hopeful man will be helping his/her fellow man in the future but just the opposite.

  9. Hundreds of stories unknown. If you were Irish in NY and born smart you went to work for Cantor Fitzgerald. If you were an average kid you became a NY fireman. Many of the Firemen running up the stairs of the WTC were going to save family when it all came down. The families waiting days at the train stations for their loved ones that never arrived.
