The Coming Coup?

As if 2020 were not insane enough already, we now have Democrats and their ruling class masters openly talking about staging a coup. You might have missed it, what with the riots, lockdowns and other daily mayhem we’re forced to endure in this, the most wretched year of my lifetime. But it’s happening.

It started with the military brass quietly indicating that the troops should not follow a presidential order. They were bolstered by many former generals—including President Trump’s own first Secretary of Defense—who stated openly what the brass would only hint at. Then, as nationwide riots really got rolling in early June, the sitting Secretary of Defense himself all but publicly told the president not to invoke the Insurrection Act. His implicit message was: “Mr. President, don’t tell us to do that, because we won’t, and you know what happens after that.”

  1. Most Americans still think this will never happen. Naïve fools.

  2. Really what are we gonna do if they steal it? We're not prepared to fight, i mean supplies wise. We need a couple of our own george sorros. Just the thought of them cheating their way into power makes my stomach sick.

    1. "We're not prepared to fight, i mean supplies wise."

And the Japanese guy jumped out of the closet yelling "Supplies!"

      Ba-dum-bum.

The Right is pretty sorely lacking in will, organization, training, funding, etc. Supplies are only part of the problem.

  3. I believe it was 6 or 7 years ago when president Barry started the "purge" of military leaders. I think it was from majors on up. Almost monthly you would hear about some military officer being asked to resign for what was probably some trumped up charges. Yes, this has been in the planning stages for years.

  4. The ruling brass of the military seems (to me, and I've never served) be pretty homogeneously leftist. The enlisted ranks and NCO's... the ones that actually do the logistics, the shooting, and the dying? My view is they seem to like the current president. Now, of course, they are also conditioned to directly obey orders from the guys and gals with more metal on their uniforms, but they can think for themselves. I think the brass might want to mind their manners from here on out.
But if most of the brass ARE leftist, manners is one thing they are very short on.

    1. I worked with an Army retired LT Col. He said the Army is a socialist organization.
I have never forgotten those words! He also said your rarely saw Blacks in combat roles (this is above basic grunt), especially leadership. I asked why, he said they tend to want jobs in support functions.
      Just one persons' experience.

    2. Soldiers are also conditioned and trained to ignore illegal orders, and to refuse to follow immoral ones. Fun times for the barracks lawyers indeed.

    3. Anonymous, as we used to say, "If you think you've been given an illegal order, you'd better be right."

  6. Trump should have immediately fired the SecDef when he told him that he wouldn’t follow lawful orders. Trump is Commander in Chief, SecDef is SUPPOSED to follow his orders, not try to give him orders.

    1. ^^^^ This. It's coming on 04-NOV after the landslide. Along with all of the present and former flag officers that have been mouthing off in the last couple years. The present ones should be court marshaled and the former ones should be called back to duty and court marshaled for insubordination.

Pretty obvious. after some of the stories that appeared in the papers in the last couple of weeks, that the senior officer cadre is not honoring their oath.

Perhaps a couple of four star cashierings for insubordination would wake the rest up along with that fuck wad of a SecDef.

  9. There's political brass. And then there's warrior brass. Warrior Brass is stone cold conservative. So are most of the troops. Don't get me wrong. The threat is all to real.

  10. Around 1960, Charles de Gaulle had transformer radios issued to the French troops. When the officers attempted a coup, de Gaulle broadcast to those radios, reaching the privates directly, and the coup ended badly for the plotters. If you're receiving conflicting orders from your chain of command and directly from the CINC, which one should you follow? For an American soldier, I would hope the answer is, "The one that is lawful and consistent with my oath to protect the Constitution" - and it's only the recently installed Generals that might be unclear about that!

So Trump's problem isn't the officers, it's how to bypass the leftist network brass and get his message out.
