NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The extra $300 unemployment payments available amid the coronavirus pandemic are ending.
According to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Federal Emergency Management Agency informed the state that funding for the Lost Wages Assistance Program payments was slated to stop Sept. 5.

Yeah, I know. I do realize that a lot of people are having a hard time finding work after State governments shut the economy down. But the caption was in mind of a married relation that found excuse after excuse to keep from going back to work after he was called back because he was making more money fishing than if he'd returned.
DeleteMy kids were in sports and one of the sports dads was a contractor in the process of leaving California. He pointed out that as a licensed contractor, he was hit with a $50K insurance bill every January. Between that and taxes, he had to charge twice as much as the day laborers hanging out at Home Depot in order to have half the spending money.
