I'm gonna guess Kentucky here.....

I'm not entirely sure Kentuckians ever know what that little lever is for. Either they don't use it at all or they leave their blinker on to throw other drivers off.

I was driving down the Scottsville/Lafayette road the other day following a Kentucky driver and he had his left turn signal on for a good 2 or 3 miles before he noticed it was still on, then just to even things out he turned his right turn signal for another couple miles until I turned off.

  3. 2 days ago I was going to turn left. Oncoming traffic had his right blinker on and was beginning his turn so I began mine which would put me behind him. He abruptly stopped turning, put on his left blinker and went straight!

  4. I have a Pontiac Torrent. The turn signal is poorly designed. You turn the corner, bring your wheel straight and the mechanism clicks, to shut off the blinker. But it doesn't shut off the blinker, it keeps on going, and you have to manually turn it off. This happens both directions, and I have found many other people who have the same problem with their Pontiac Torrent. It is a nice enough enough car, other than this one quirk.

  5. Watch "Jay Leno's Garage" on Youtube. As Jay is driving the cars, he often leaves his blinker on.
I think he does it as a joke, though.

  6. Rhode Island or Boston area. the joke in the northeast is that Boston won't use them as it's none of your business where I'm going and in Rhode Island they just don't know what the hell it's used for. In Connecticut turn signals are used 1/2 second before they turn.
