In an earlier life I was a lumper and fork operator. Every load, even if only a single pallet, was wrapped, strapped, or barred in place. EVERY time! ...there's NO excuse for THAT mess!
Go easy on him. That may have been a drop and hitch with the trailer already loaded by some rocket scientist getting by at the warehouse until NASA calls.
I retired from a job loading trucks. If he had the key to unlock the trailer when he reached his destination, he should've checked it before he left to make sure the load was secure. I don't know of a single freight hauling company that doesn't supply their drivers with a load lock or strap. Damaged product cuts into profits.
Reddit is a commie hangout just in case you didn't know. With commies come baskets of lies about everything. Don't believe me. Read some true history fool.
I've loaded (and picked up) trailers where you weren't allowed on the dock and they sealed it and you couldn't break the seal. Drive it to destination and hand paperwork to clerk, they come out, check the seal and then they cut it off. Then you open the doors (from the side) and see what comes out.
Saw this same situation last week in Bentonviile, Arkansas. At a walmart warehouse, no less. A shipping container loaded poorly and a trip across the ocean will make a mess.

His boss will be delighted to see this.
ReplyDeleteAs will his company insurer. Unless they are insured against stupidity.
Lololol.
ReplyDeleteLook at me, I'm a dumbfuck. Have pity on me.
Go easy on him.

DeleteMight have been sealed and driver didn't want to break the seal. From reading about Walmart on Reddit this is a pretty common occurance there.
