Elk during the rut will attack anything. There's a state park in N. CA that has a native elk herd...rangers have been charged, park pickups destroyed, one even broke all the plate glass windows in the lodge once trying to fight itself. That one is a head mount IN the lodge.
We get the same stupid flatlander shit happening here with bull moose, cow moose with calves, and even dipshits trying to feed granola bars to bears in Sept for their freaking Instagram. Sadly, it's always the animal that pays for the stupid human's actions.
As a six year old my daughter had to shelter under a picnic table as a bull elk rampaged in our camp site trying to gather up three cows that had strayed. Quite the memory.
Saw a lady in Yellowstone walk around a bison cow that was half blocking a boardwalk through an area of hydrothermal features. The cow was part of a group of several cows, calves and one full-grown bull. People were telling her to stay back, but she just waved them off. The woman literally had to turn sideways to pass the cow. When the woman got close to the cow the bull suddenly became VERY alert, snorted and pawed the ground.
I really did think I was about to watch someone die.
WTF? I know the moose's gender, but is that a woman, a man or Elton John?
ReplyDeleteThat's a bull elk.
DeleteGotta be a liberal; conservatives aren’t that stupid.

First time I saw that photo I thought the purse was the blood bloom around a horn through the clueless lady.
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely an elk. Any male horned critter is best left alone during the rut. That or shot. They are bone stupid went they get a whiff

ReplyDeleteTo be fair, it's enough to upset that elk, her just holding her mask in her hand and all. She must have WANTED the animal to die.
ReplyDeleteBRIGHT as a 1/2 watt bulb...HEH??

DeleteThis shit happens all the time 100 miles from us (Bozeman, MT.)in Yellowstone National Park
