White House: Tennessee mask mandate 'must be implemented'
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The White House quietly told Tennessee early this week that “a statewide mask mandate must be implemented" to curb its growing spread of COVID-19, strong instructions that the White House and governor did not discuss publicly before the report emerged in a records request.

ReplyDeleteOutside of the four cities, rural Tennessee has mostly been treating the governor's mandates as personal style choices. Not likely to change.

ReplyDeleteIn that the President, aka, 'the White House', is the executive, then yes, everything emanating from the fedgov is from the White House.
ReplyDeleteHowever, when it comes to various agencies within the fedgov, whether they are cabinet level or not, it is not indicative of the White House as origin of the information, advice, report, etc. The CDC is not even a fedgov entity, but does receive federal funding (although used as part of a White House Task Force).
Conclusion: the linked article is a dust-up about navel gazing.
The CDC is part of Health and Human Services, so yes it is part of the feral govmint.

ReplyDeleteYou can check these numbers. Sweden didn't lockdown, didn't mandate masks, didn't mandate social distancing and they experienced about 565 deaths per one million population. Texas Governor shut down Texas businesses by a third I think, mandated lockdowns, mandated masks, mandated distancing, most bars are still closed, we are still having to wear masks. Want to know what our dead count is? Just over 600 per million and a third of out State economy is destroyed.

What I read is that the live music industry in Austin is now dead and will never return. I have no love for anything Austin, but the music industry that thrived there did not deserve to be killed by Abbott and his commie mentor, soros.
