ORLANDO, Fla. (WESH) – A dashcam video shows a driver on a highway near Orlando firing at another car through his own windshield.
The intense moment was posted on YouTube by driver Marco Mazzetta, who said he was trying to defend himself because he believes he or the passenger in his car were in danger of being shot.
He's a smart, responsible man with good situational awareness. In my book he did nothing wrong, and followed the law. I hope he suffers not legal payback (either penalty or process) from a doctrinaire (or bought) DA.
Smart and responsible? Shirley, you can't be serious. Shooting through the windshield, from a moving vehicle, at a moving vehicle? You and the shooter have both watched too many movies. From the story I read, claimed speeds of up to 90+ mph. Being conservative, let's say they were moving at 55 when shots were fired. Suppose he hit the other driver. What then? You think there might have been other cars on the road? You think that driverless car is now just going to gently coast onto the shoulder and stop? Odds are, he didn't connect with the target once. So where did his shots go? And it's likely that both he and the passenger now have some degree of permanent hearing loss. If I was the passenger, he would have gotten a punch in the face for that shit. The right move would have been to move over directly behind him, slow down, and then onto the shoulder. Kinda hard for the other guy to shoot at him if he's directly behind him and falling back. At the very least, reckless endangerment of anyone within 30 yards of that shitshow.
+1 You lose your right to claim self defense when you instigate the issue: such as brake checking a car that was trying to pass, then moving to the left lane to block. Let the knucklehead pass you Dumbass!
So he shoots his own windshield out. The guy is missing some brain matter.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he's just a big fan of the movie "Heat"
DeleteThis is the stuff that happens when 2 dumbfuck worlds collide.
ReplyDeleteWe seem to have an over abundance of ‘tards here in Florida.

DeleteHe seems stable.
ReplyDeleteHe did a brake check on the guy, which is illegal in itself.
ReplyDeleteSeems he instigated the fight in that regard
“I know this video doesn’t capture my smartest moments............I bet you could put a camera on him 24 7 and not get a smart moment.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure nobody else on the highway could possibly have an objection. I have high hopes that he is granted an extended period of reflection.
