Bail set at $2M for teen accused in Wisconsin shootings
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Bail was set at $2 million on Monday for a 17-year-old from Illinois accused of killing two men during an August protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after the father of one victim told the court the teen “thinks he’s above the law” and would disappear if freed before the trial.

He hasn't disappeared yet, so their argument is, on it's face, silly. No. This is about two things. First, make the bail so high that the 17 year old spends time, a lot of hard time, in jail, even if he is eventually found innocent. Second, helping out bail bondsmen friends make a killing.

If he was a member of BLM, his bail would be low, and George Soros would have posted it the minute it was set. The court system is trying to punish this kid, since they know that they have little chance of proving him guilty of any of the charges.

The deceased parent has it wrong - it was HIS son which thought he could attack others without consequences and he paid for his stupidity with his life. Fron what I saw on the video, pretty clear a case of self defense.
ReplyDeleteThe kid could have saved himself a lot of expense and grief not being there in 1st place. But then the deceased could have hurt someone else and walked away free and clear, like his compatriots.

I suppose the dad should be excused for his comments since he is probably grieving for his son. Yet I'd say he's a real sack of shit for blaming everyone else for the actions of his son that fateful night.

The thug made it inevitable. Dad does not want to accept that reality. Perhaps as he passes through his grief he will transition out of denial.
Two million bail seems awful high for the crime of engaging in unlicensed pest control.

A. Nony. Mous., the footage of the cops telling him to "Back Off!" is at the very end of the main video that shows him on the ground fighting for his life. He got up from there and walked/jogged on up the street to where the police vehicles were. As he approached they started driving toward him and someone in the lead vehicle shouts "Get out of the road!" over the loudhailer, then as Kyle, having moved toward the curb/sidewalk, drew abreast of that truck the loudhailer asked if anyone was hurt "down there". Kyle answered and pointed, then turned to the last police vehicle, an SUV, and stepped up to the passenger window. That's when you hear Back Off!" out of the loudhailer, and Kyle does, as the cops drive off and leave him standing there. So he went home.
