It's like he's going out of his to start a rebellion

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced Monday new COVID-19 safety measures that include halting alcohol sales the day before Thanksgiving.

Wolf said bars and restaurants should stop selling alcohol starting 5 p.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Thursday. He added Thanksgiving is “the biggest day for drinking,” and hopes the mandate could help slow the spread of the virus, The Morning Call reported.

  1. Nothing will happen. People talk big, but they're not will to lie down on the sacrificial alter.

  2. Look at that! It's morphed from "STOP THE SPREAD!" to Prohibition, so quickly, I barely noticed.

    2. I will drink the occasional beer, of which I prefer amber bock over lager. About once a year I will buy a pint of Bourbon which I prefer with just a single ice cube, to help cut the alcohol a tiny bit. I also like Rum, which I first drank at the age of 18, when it was legal for me, at the foundry where I worked for life. A friend would bring in a 2 liter of squirt, and a pint of rum, drink the squirt until the rum would fit, and then mix the two together. It is surprisingly good. I never liked rum and coke. And these governors of all these states who are making such anti citizen decisions, deserve every single bad thing that happens to them. Every bad LEGAL thing, of course. I never advocate breaking the law, for any reason. Other than to protect the constitution, which stops all other concerns, and calls every patriot to arms. I hope that day never comes, but I can see the day coming. This is not a proud day for America.

  7. A big day of drinking = a big day of profits. Can't have that.

  10. I think he was concerned some restaurants and bars are still barely holding on, so this measure will try to take away one of their last traditional opportunities to make money before the end of the year.

  12. The bar/restaurants in Pennsylvania are still mandated to be at 25% capacity so what difference does it make if you are drinking?
We are all starting early at our bar today.
