"Let's finish off this economy once and for all"

An adviser to Joe Biden on coronavirus has floated the idea of a nationwide lockdown for “four to six weeks.”
Dr. Michael Osterholm was appointed to Biden’s 12-person Covid advisory board on Monday.
On Wednesday, he appeared on CNBC and attempted to rationalize a national lockdown order.

  1. Wonder how they'd react if the truckers did a 'lockdown' for four to six weeks.
    Might create a panic.

  2. Any chance of going a day without talking about Cough 19? Statistically you have a better chance of dyeing from a traffic accident.

  3. Not bad enough that the initial "two weeks to stop the spread" failed and individual states just kept extending lockdowns. Now Biden wants get into the act?

  6. I am not a lawyer or a constitutional scholar, but I do not believe that the president has the power to do any such thing. Unless we are at war, or he declares martial law, I don't think that a president can order states to do anything like shutting down.
And while we are thinking of Chinavirus, I just want to note that the new vaccine promised by Pfizer and others, claim a 95% success rate. That 95% is important because that is very close to the number of people who would build immunity if the government would simply ignore the entire issue, and allow the people to be exposed to the virus without interference on Big Brother's part. So if they want to force a needle in my arm or ass, I get to put a hole in them first. But my hole is measured not by the gauge of a needle, but by caliber.

  7. Sure, Biden intends to blaze his own trail through any progress made during Pres Trump's tenure. Sorta like a bull in a china shop with no rhyme or reason. You think you've seen idiocy from the gov? You ain't seen nothin' yet!
Let's hope that remains conjecture and that Pres Trump remains for a 2nd well-deserved term!
