    There was a movie in 2008 call pashendale least we forget ... last 20min is a brutal muddy mess. It also has a heartbreaking twist with a Canadian-german family. The movie is awesome but pisses you off about the hell we can put ourselves in.

    My wife's grandfather, who I knew for four years, was at Passchendaele but missed the main battle there due to being laid up with a bad case of Impedigo from Sept 27 to Nov 10, 1917. He spent his combat time with the RCR.
