When I was in my mid 20's the house I owned was built on a hillside, so a 1-story drop off the front was about 2 1/2 on the back, the hill was steep enough that a foundation had been put under the basement at the very back of the home. I'm not good with heights, and while I'd done some work on the front (little bit of roofing and gutter cleaning), when I went to the top to get to the other side, I simply could not move from terror. My father-in-law told me to park my truck in the front yard, get a long rope and tie one end around the hitch, and make a loop in the other end. Then I needed to put the loop around my neck. The back-side gutters never did get cleaned. -Just A Chemist
If you ever painted the outside of a house, you may not find that a bad idea.
