When he fell in the water, my first thought was a Caiman or a Croc. When he was able to pull it towards him, I knew that it had to be some kind of a fish. I was unsure of the location also. I am thinking some part of Southeast Asia, perhaps the Philipines, the Vietnam or Cambodian area, etc. Unless you really know that area very well, I think that it would be quite hard to tell, since the rivers and flora are so similar, from all of the video and pictures that I have seen of the areas. Probably to a person familiar with the area they would just say, you idiot, that is taken in " blah blah blah" and rattle the exact river and the area where it was in. It does show just how much some people still count on nature for their day to day living and if they come up empty handed, they might have a hungry belly that night.
Dinner otw.
ReplyDeleteVietnam??
ReplyDeleteTake me a year to eat all that, what's the fun of fishing then?
ReplyDeleteNot everyone has the luxury of sport fishing. Rods n reels are for fun - nets are for food and livelihood.
