Scrawny dude in the middle did not get a hold of the bottom and lift it clear of the support that is sticking out and you can watch the break start when it makes contact.
Kind of what I thought at first, but then I saw there were like four guys on the other side. They should have sat it up on the edge, redistributed manpower and lowered it down. The guy on the opposite side, esp being a skinny guy, does not have any leverage or easy grasp w/o blowing his back out. Major Fubar all around.
That is not granite it is a polished concrete counter top. Can be made to look like the real thing but a whole lot cheaper, except when that happens!!! grayman
I have a marble/travertine/something table that took three of us to lift. Moving it once and a leg got caught on the ledge of the UHaul truck. The table snapped in half. My wife's boys, who were watching, just said Daammnn! We found a guy to fix it. When he brought it back, I asked him if he needed help to bring it in. He said it was handled. This big ole black guy carried it right in and set it down just as gentle as could be. I remarked that I would not want to meet him in a dark alley. The white guy who fixed it just smiled and winked.
Need superglue now...
ReplyDeleteWhoops. That would be an easy grand down the toilet.

ReplyDeleteFortunately, it broke on their watch instead of later when homeowner sets his case of beer down on it.
