Biden’s HHS pick thinks AR-15s are ‘not in common use for self defense’

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, President-elect Joe Biden’s pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, said AR-15s are akin to military-grade weapons and not useful for self defense in a 2019 court filing.

The AG’s statements were included in a court case that challenged California’s gun ban titled Rupp v. Becerra, in which multiple state residents sued government officials to overturn the prohibition of certain semi-automatic firearms. Becerra, an advocate for the Affordable Care Act, was announced as Biden’s pick to lead HHS Sunday, according to the New York Times.

  1. Xavier Baccarea learned everything he knows about weapons of war from California's next U.S. Senator, Kevin Leon.

Have you noticed how Kamala Harris hasn't conceded her position in the Senate yet?

  2. That's okay. Military grade is just.. Moderately safe against MONGO the idiot. If you want really good quality, civilian grade is the way to go!

And, yeah, that shows just how stupid They are. 'Military Grade'? Do you perhaps mean 'Milspec' when you say that?

    Fucknuts...

And, yes, I have noticed that Cameltoe the Ho hasn't conceded her position yet. Which is very strange. Of course, if she's the grasping moneygrubbing bitch we think she is, and the Senate may be involved in upcoming determinations as to who is actually President, then her conceding until right before the swearing-in is just silly.

  3. Ask the Kyle Rittenhouse if he felt the AR-15 he was carrying was unneeded. Ask the business persons who were defending their property from being looted - burned if they felt they didn't require a semi-automatic rifle to defend themselves and/or property.

We live along the southern border. When we visit our rural property far away from any law enforcement, we o see sign of illegal alien traffic crossings. Many times, they are in large groups. Haven't been hostile, but if they were, a semi-automatic and/or riot shotgun would be of great comfort.

If you don't feel the need - then don't buy it. For those of us who do need it, leave us be.

  4. He's right; no one uses those and ghost guns are a myth perpetrated by the vast right-wing conspiracy.

  5. ...oh you mean Biden's good friend? You know, the guy that's such a good friend that Biden doesn't know how to pronounce his name. You know, the guy that Biden appointed to direct the Health and Education department, even though no such department exists. The guy who, as Atty. General of Califruitopia, hasn't won a gun legislation case yet and has been slapped up side of his head on numerous other unconstitutional Califruitopia laws and regulations by various and sundry courts in the Western US? That Xavier Baccarrea? Yah, good pick Joe.

  6. Oh the irony when they try to confiscate the ARs only to find everyone using them to defend themselves

  7. I'm thinking Kyle showed how useful an AR 15 is for self defense.

  8. "“Assault rifles may be banned because they are, like the M-16, ‘weapons that are most useful in military service’; and ‘they are also not ‘in common use’ for lawful purposes like self-defense,’” Becerra wrote in defense of California’s weapon ban."

Kyle Rittenhouse says Xavier Beccera is full of shit.

  10. Damn it.......

    AR-15s are not “assault weapons.”

Those idiots need to look the definition up....

    Irritates me to no end.

  11. I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, after serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa, that AR pattern rifles are excellent for self defense.
