Commentary: Fox News’ Media Suicide

It was entirely expected that the worst year in my lifetime should have the worst election in my lifetime. Not because the second-best president in my lifetime (after Ronald Reagan) lost, but because we don’t know for sure that he did. I would rather be certain that the ghost of Joe Biden won outright than see the greatest nation on Earth embarrass itself like Venezuela. Sadly, the unprecedented goalpost-shifting and manipulation by the Left, bolstered by the usual obsequious accommodation by the Right, has created a national humiliation that will fester for a long time to come, no matter who gets inaugurated in January. Should that be Biden, I shall leave it to more expert political analysts to dissect the cause and effects of such a disaster, while I’ll focus on the cultural, media, and artistic ramifications. And I’ll start with the most astonishing example of media suicide in my lifetime — that of the Fox News Corporation (FNC).

    1. Their ownership is already uber-rich. They don't give even the remotest possible fuck. It's just a vanity project at this point.

  3. I turned Fox News off after 2016.
Only watch Maria, Tucksr and occasionally the morning Friends show. Fox has no one to blame but the owners and their board which includes Paul Ryan. Idiots

    1. Idiots - NOPE. EVIL? - YEP. Sometimes, though, it's hard to tell if they are both - which is usually.

  4. I haven't watched Fox, except for Tucker Carlson for 15-20 minutes every night since November 3rd. Here's my take: Fox, in the persons of Baier and McCallum, thought they were going to have a lot of sit downs with President Trump after 2016. 'Course that didn't happen. So Baier and McCallum had a hissy fit, especially when Fox and Friends, Fox's early AM show, started getting a lot of call-ins and plugs at rallies from President Trump, i.e. the prime time lineup was getting scooped by, in their view a bunch piss ant wanna be prime timers.

That combined with Brazille, who should be IN JAIL for her shenanigans in FL in 2016, and lyin' Ryan joining the board at Fox doomed them to their present downward spiral. Can't wait for Fox to have to announce layoffs due to substantially decreased revenue and finally crater into nothingness.

As I read somewhere the other day, you know the writing is on the wall at Fox when the My Pillow guy stops advertising with them. He's been on Newsmax for a while now.

Maybe President Trump or one of his sons will pick it up for song and fire that worthless POS Wallace, then restore Fox to greatness, once again. IMHO. Tucker is the only show that's keeping them from insolvency.

  8. I don't have Fake-News Fox News on cable. That package is too expensive for my Social Security budget. Actually, I miss like I miss my appendix.

  9. There was only 2 people I would watch on faux spews, Tucker and Greg Gutfeld. Bringing the blue haired trash bag seriously cut down the time I had them on, the five went to oh hell no, juan, trash bag and the idiot that gerldo among others made it a waste of time. I stopped watching anything on the program mid summer, I can't say what exactly turned me off but I was done with them completely.
