Commentary: The Truth About Tolerance in America
A bigoted America fueled by its hate for those who are not white, heterosexual males. A country so irredeemably racist that discrimination is woven into every institution. A nation inundated with sexism and patriarchal oppression so prominent that glass ceilings cover every aspect of American life. These characterizations of the land of opportunity have become a dogmatic mantra for progressives, and every single one is a lie.

Who benefits from a set of narratives about how white people are racist? Who benefits from fragmenting rather than uniting society? Has the "pervasive and systemic racism" theory made things better or worse for Black people in the US? It does not seem to have helped Blacks, and certainly hasn't been good for the nation as a whole.
ReplyDeleteWho benefits from a balkanized non-society of various groups at each others' throats? Who might want to distract the masses from various REAL social ills, such as the financialization of everything; globalization and outsourcing at the cost of American jobs and stable communities; the destruction of Western culture and the glorification of ghetto behavior; mass importation of ignorant and stupid* savages who do not and cannot fit in; the promotion and production of all manner of pornography, deviance, and vice?
Who benefits?
*Ignorance can, in theory, be fixed; stupid is forever. So to say ignorant AND stupid is not redundant

ReplyDeleteThe Right is all concerned about your ability to do your damned job without making a fuss. Don't do your job or be an obnoxious labeler to the point it's interfering with yours or everybody else's job/life/not-job/whatever? Then the Right has an individual problem with you.
Its all about labels versus results. One cares more about labels, one doesn't give a fuck about labels as long as results are positive.
White men have many faults, women and minorities only two......everything they say, and everything they do.....nah, we're not racist in this country.....but we do love the jokes....
