Notice how the good Mama keeps checking and licking the babies butts . When nursing the poo is very sticky and much like glue . A lazy Mama will not keep them clean and many babies die when the butt hole gets plugged by glue poo . I've had to use scissors to cut the surrounding hair and free the poo hole . That's a nasty job too !
Reminds me of when we lived out in the country, had bird feeders a few yards down the hill in our back yard. Woodchuck dug a hole almost right under the feeders. One nice day I see it sunning itself, and I'm thinking about throwing something high-speed at it, when I notice small feet waving in the air on each side. Cuteness turned up to 11. . . "Okay, Mamma 'chuck, you just keep nursing your babies. You get a pass this time."

ReplyDeleteSome things are special. If anybody had blown their horn I'd been tempted to smack them. Twenty years ago I would have.
