Merry Christmas again!

HAZARD, Ky. (AP) — Some eastern Kentucky residents got an early Christmas present when their layaway items were paid off by an anonymous donor.

The Hazard Walmart said in a Facebook post last week that the person gave $21,000, paying the layaway balances for 96 families, WYMT-TV reported.

This is the third time in the past week I've read about somebody paying off layaway balances at Walmarts in that area, a couple in eastern Tennessee and now this one in Kentucky.

    1. You don't have to do all the layaways, you can just pick the smallest one. It's probably someone struggling to get one nice thing for their kid. Or pick someone from the hope tree. My kiddos help me pick an angel from the tree for each kid, and they help me pick out stuff for them. It's good to be a part of the community.

  2. Back in the day layaway was important. Whoever's doing this is giving some folks a fine Christmas this year!
