When the peasants aren't happy.....

A western Kansas mayor announced her immediate resignation Tuesday because of threats she has received after publicly supporting a mask mandate during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dodge City Mayor Joyce Warshaw said she was concerned about her safety after encountering aggression, including threats via phone and email, after she was quoted in a USA Today article Friday supporting a mask mandate, The Dodge City Globe reported.

  3. Is she saying she was told to 'Get out of Dodge"?

  4. They need to be reminded of the fact they are there with our consent only.

  5. Phones and email are traceable. If there were actually threats, the police would be visiting people.
There is pushback, I'm sure of that, but threats of violence? Why is my bullshit meter pegged?

    1. Phone numbers and emails have been turned over to the FBI and the KBI. I am sure that some of the Ford County ne're do wells will be receiving unwelcome visits from LEOs.

  6. Ehh...play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Time these self anointed overlords understand this rule. May as well resign, doesn't sound as if she had the consent of the citizens, which makes her illegitimate.

  7. I think some people are starting to get an education on the history of our country that they either slept through during school or were indoctrinated in the new version of history.
And it is funny as all get out, now that some folks on the other side have decided to use the same tactics and methods, they don't like it as much.

  10. There's a lot more to this story,as usual. Dodge City residents have been fed up with her for a long time. I live about 65 miles west of there and they have been arguing since before COVID and masks. I seem to remember something about her having a house in another city and just an apartment in Dodge City or something like that. This was just an opportunity for sympathy.

  11. A little different take on the facts from the big tv station up in Topeka:
    https://www.wibw.com/2020/12/18/police-dodge-city-mayor-was-never-in-danger/

Quite a bit different than what was written by most of the "big city" (lying) media.

Not sure what all the stink is about anyway-the wind over there blows constantly, so if there were to be any virus, it would wind up in Nebraska or in Oklahoma inside a New York minute.

Waiting for the ex-lady mayor to levy sexual harassment charges against the Democrat governor of Kansas. Whoops, that's a female also. Looks like Kansas is going to hell faster than you can count to three.

  12. It is not a 'mandate', it is a 'dictate'.

It is not a rule, regulation, code, guideline, judicial decision, it is a 'dictate'.

The lack of our ability to vote on it means it came from a dictator, ergo 'dictate'.

I welcome your opinion to the contrary...
