Several area gun stores were seeing an uptick in first-time buyers. Redstone Firearms in Burbank told CBSLA it saw a sudden 40% increase in people looking to purchase a gun, take safety classes and shoot at their range.

Good luck finding ammo, folks.
Left Wing death squads need guns, too. You get all sticky if you just use hand tools to murder your neighbors.
ReplyDeleteI got in the habit of just picking up a box or 2 ammo every week for the past couple of years. Part of the ammo problem has to be how popular shooting sports have become. According to my Kids the range is considered a date destination. Lot of girls, couples and families out shooting all the the time. I ended up taking so many of my sons female friends skeet and trap shooting with us when they were in High School and College I went out and got a 20 gauge 870 express youth model because our 12's were beating the crap out of them and I don't want to scare them away from the sport. I figure we're going to need them on our side in our fight for gun rights.
ReplyDeleteWait. There are guns still available?
ReplyDeleteNo problem. I saw it coming in '08 with Bathhouse Barry, and took precautions.
ReplyDeleteHow the hell is this happening when there’s nothing to buy?
ReplyDeleteWhile as much as it has been tough, the local Big 5 in Idaho gets a shipment of what I need ( 22lr ) and I clean em out at 10am weekly......Up to 11k rounds so far for my 3 guns. I know. *22?*, but availability is key right now. Better to have something that goes bang with a 22lr than a monster .45 that you have to pistol whip them with...
ReplyDeleteAt a gunshow last Saturday in the Dallas area, a vendor was selling 12 gauge 00 buck for $3 a shell and people were buying it!!

ReplyDeleteI find it surprising that ANY gun store in America has a meaningful supply of ammo left. Firearms may becoming slightly more available but for the majority of calibers ammo is
ReplyDeletebecoming quite literally Unobtainium.
Most of the reloading supplies are gone as well. Primers? Nope. I grabbed some more powder 3 weeks ago and while I was power shopping for it thru 3 different sites, the shit was selling out right in front of me. Figured I would grab what I could. Looks like thats gonna be it for now or for awhile, or forever. Food is next.
ReplyDeleteObservations of the gun and ammo market in GA. There are guns available out there, just at a much higher price than last year. There is ammo if you know where to look but it will only be 9mm, 22lr, 45acp, 223/5.56, and .308 calibers. For reloaders there is a two month backlog on projectiles, a month on brass, but the less desirable powders are still available. Primers cannot be found.
ReplyDeleteI went to the local chain store yesterday and they had more reloading dies than they had ammo. Same with reloading saupplies except for brass. I did not look closely at all the brass as I was looking for .460 Smith Which was available. They had more PMR 30's than anything else. Very few long guns of any type.
ReplyDeleteright soon, there's going to be plenty of ammo and guns just lying around.
ReplyDeleteI figure when ATF starts enforcing their anti-constitutional bullshit, we can take arms & ammo from them.
