#10, That memory sticks with me still even after 55 yrs. My aunt sent me down the street to pick up a pizza and I brought it home carrying it like a suitcase. Her and my older sister straightened back out using butter knives. Never did it again though
My brother in law did that. It was in the middle of a blizzard, so he put the pizza under his coat "to keep it warm". It was a two block walk and it was snowing like crazy.
Pizza looked like a bad traffic accident by the time he got back.
#1 - At least it's the neutral pin. Not gonna light up pulling it out. #7 - Oh. Lee. Chit! That's funny. AND I know that intersection very well. Happens all the time there. That's why you watch your height. 13'6>10'0. Basic shit. No CDL maybe? Sad because there is a route to on I-95 on-ramp 8 blocks away.
#1 Yeah, I've only seen it happening to Chinese made power adapters. And check the bottom outlet for polarity before just pulling it out, some people hire illegals for electrical rough work. #8 More Chinesium, I broke three corkscrews until I found out made in Spain. I didn't realize I was getting so strong in my dotage.
4) Bees will do that. They'll have a hive built in a day and then just call the beekeepers who will be happy to take them off your hands and put them to work pollinating crops and making honey.
Had two hives growing in my walls. Local beekeepers, all who were whining and complaining about 'bees dying, boohoohoo,' wanted to charge me big arsed bucks to collect the bees.
#4 - being a beekeeper - OMG, that is a wet dream, to find a swarm so easily collected! And it's a good one too, very large... hope I run across one like this soon :)
#9 Happened to me once after waiting opver an hour. Needless to say I went up to the desk and explained that I was passed over and they correcter thje situation.
#10, I remember years ago a slice-to-go pizzeria in North Beach, SF: it was late at night and the staff must've had a bit too much to drink, anyways, they were placing the freshly undercooked pizzas in the display window on 45 degree slanted pans. All the toppings were sliding down into the window leaving only the crusted bread remaining.

ReplyDeleteI picked up a pizza one time and brought my brother along to carry it. He held it out to one side, level, to keep the toppings from sliding off.
DeleteWhat neither of us expected was "aerodynamic instability" at about 30mph, when the box started flapping like a flag in high wind...
