NRA files for bankruptcy, says it will reincorporate in Texas

WASHINGTON – The National Rifle Association said Friday that it has filed for bankruptcy in U.S. court as part of a larger restructuring plan aimed at moving to Texas after New York state had sought the organization’s dissolution for allegedly misappropriating funds.

  1. Welcome to Texas. They call it "The Friendly State" for a reason. Just don't mess with us.

  2. I haven't been a member in 15 years, got tired of the whole bunch. They are all wanna be politicians sucking money from gun owners. Maybe now I'll stop getting those last chance to join letters every 3 months. They could've saved millions by no longer mass mailing their crap

  3. Allegedly...
Maybe if they hadn't 'allegedly' misused them, they'd have money to stay solvent.
Guess we can expect an increase in 'they're coming for you, send us more money' bullshit mailers?

  4. I look at the picture of that New York State Attorney General and see a vacancy sign between her ears.

  5. The NRA can kiss my ass. They haven't been defenders of 2A since they lobbied FOR the NFA in 1934. Every time the Demonrats want MORE new gun laws, the NRA caved. Guaranfookingteed when the new Demonrat gun laws come up for debate and vote, the NRA will be telling us what GOOD legislation it is, while giving their mailing list to the FBI and BATFandreallyBIGfires so that it'll be easier to identify gun owners.

The NRA is scum. Always has been(since 1934) and always will be.

    1. NRA is pretty much the same as the 'kapos" in Auschwitz.

  6. By pushing "common sense" gun laws and compromising with the enemy, the NRA has been wasting its considerable clout for decades.
But gun grabbers still want to Shut It Down.

Wake up Wayne. These commies are serious.

  7. I'm thinking Lil wayne will not be a good fit in in Texas . If the NRA was serious the first thing that they would do is get rid of him , and find someone that'll do something other than just sit there looking constipated

  8. Been on the cusp of a decision, to renew next month or not. If I renew it won't be for the cheap Made in China crap that they send out as 'gifts'!
I've been a member for a long time but the behavior and greed of the management is disgusting.
    Everything considered, I don't think I will.

  10. I've been a member for at least twenty years and last spring let the membership lapse. The senior management started using the members as their personal slush fund. Fire that bunch and maybe I'll be back.

  11. As long as Wayne is part of the NRA they won't get a penny of my money.
