‘Really quite shocking’: Inside the ugly transition at the Pentagon

The Pentagon blocked members of President Joe Biden’s incoming administration from gaining access to critical information about current operations, including the troop drawdown in Afghanistan, upcoming special operations missions in Africa and the Covid-19 vaccine distribution program, according to new details provided by transition and defense officials.

The effort to obstruct the Biden team, led by senior White House appointees at the Pentagon, is unprecedented in modern presidential transitions and will hobble the new administration on key national security matters as it takes over positions in the Defense Department on Wednesday, the officials said.

  2. I think they meant, "hobble the incoming administrations ability to pass national security matters over to foreign agents".
English can be a tricky language, sometimes......

  3. Of course, since there's lots of evidence foreign countries own Biden and his entire staff, they couldn't be cleared for confidential information. If the entire establishment wasn't corrupt, the election might have been overturned, so withholding access was a smart move to keep these fxckers from selling us out. Guaranteed they'll do that now, but at least the Americans in the Pentagon tried.

  5. From the link: “To play politics with the country’s national security is just really unacceptable.”

You fucking started it. Maybe people who care wanted a chance to get folks out of harms way before you shit on them.

  6. Can't blame 'em, what with the Bathhouse Barry and Clinton teams doing everything they could to sell out the military and all our secrets. There's still some patriots in there.

  7. Unprecedented?!? Didn't Clinton block Bush the Lesser from various transition meetings while Al Gore protested the election results in court?

  8. the current administration has no interest in national security.

  9. They should agree to give info to Biden only....he'll forget it before he leaves the building....

  10. If memory serves, the Clinton administration appointed people ineligible for security clearances. It was in the book “inside access”. Looking at the clown car that is the Biden administration I’m sure this is the case.

    1. President Usurpers crackhead son will undoubtedly qualify for Top Secret clearance, with NO RESTRICTIONS, after a cursory review, despite the fact that he's "supposedly" under FBI investigation for, at minimum, tax fraud.

Remember how, at the beginning of the Trump administration, the deep state slow walked ALL of President Trump's White House Staff appointee's clearances?

But that was a "peaceful transition" according to the MSM.

  11. This also gives the MSM an opportunity to run cover for what will be many of Biden’s fuck ups. Anything happens they can fall back and blame this.

  12. Aside from possibly getting a head start on their personal investment strategies linked to defense spending, I see nothing that this transition team was denied that was time sensitive. They've got four years to work their insider trading and to work deals that help the Chinese, so a month doesn't matter.

  13. Hey Kenny;

As I understand it, the Pentagon figured that the Biden team was totally penetrated when after a briefing, 30 minutes later, they intercepted the information headed to the Chinese. That would give any non political career staffer serious pause.

  14. How in the world could Biden even qualify for a security clearance given his kid Hunter's escapades? And didn't Hunter even come out and say "we'll cut out 10% for the "big guy"?

  15. How typical for hypocrite commies to whine about 'obstruction" when that's ALL they've done for the last 4 years.

  16. Old news. At the time the word was that after one of the early briefings, some material shared with Biden's team showed up in Chinese traffic within 24 hours.
Thus the ban. Could have been a "Midway" ploy or just good luck in catching the Chinese discussion.

  17. Sounds like exactly the kind of behavior the entire federal bureaucracy engaged in in January 2017 with a different administration. And then continued it for 4 years.

Stealing elections is totally OK, though.

  19. Welp, since the Chinese had 'some' data within a half hour of it being briefed, and, as far as I know, NONE of the transition team had TS and above clearances, it's no wonder they didn't get access to upcoming ops. That was a lesson we learned under Slick Willy.
