Rush to judgement? Three crucial questions remain unanswered about Capitol siege
One thing recent history has taught America is the first storyline of major tragedies or controversies is never the most accurate.
Americans were told by the Bush administration that they were sucker-punched by a surprise attack on 9/11 by terrorists, only to learn the CIA and FBI had significant advance evidence of the plot and its players and failed to connect the dots.
Why did the capital siege end ? Did it end with the woman being shot? Did it end after antifa had shepherded Trump supporters in and antifa left them holding the bag ? Did the capital police repel the rioters? Did the siege end when the rioters found out there were no politicians in the building? Did the trump supporters just fizzle out? Did someone just say, “OK we’re done here” and just leave?
Nice headline - "Siege". About 100 people got into the building, more than half were allowed in by the rent-a-cops. A window was broken ($3M to repair), a lectern moved ($2M to reposition), and feet were put on a desk ($17M for cleaning). All numbers are govt spending estimates.
From Merriam Webster: Definition of siege (Entry 1 of 2) 1a: a military blockade of a city or fortified place to compel it to surrender b: a persistent or serious attack (as of illness) 2obsolete : a seat of distinction : THRONE
OK, you used the "M" to indicate zeros. Is your "M" the Roman numeral that means "1000"?
Or are you using the communist metric system where "M" means metro, or mega, or...since I will not use anything commie, I'm not sure how much monetary damage was really done at the Craptial.
I’m tired of reading about this from people on the right declaring it’s literally the worst thing ever. Congress and that building are a wretched nest of vipers. A podium was stolen. Whatever.
The real siege will be on Jan. 20.
ReplyDeleteNuff said.
Not one bucket of tar. Zero bags of feathers. Where is the lumber? Where are the carpenters? Who's in charge of the gallows? Weakest rebellion ever.
ReplyDeleteThat's how you know the Republicans are in charge.
DeleteNot who we are, we can't sink to their level, we obey the law, but we have jobs and families....
