My brother and his friends blew a hole in a 63 Ford Falcon when one of them dropped one of the M-80s they had been tossing out the windows into the clutter of junk in the backseat floorboard. Joe, who was driving, says he heard one of the boys in the backseat say "oh, shit!" and start scrabbling around in the clutter, then watched in the rearview mirror as two seventeen year old boys tried to cram themselves into the parcel tray between the back seat and the back window when they realized that they were pawing around for the equivalent of a lit quarter-stick of dynamite. This was followed by an explosion, a geyser of beer cans and tater chip bags, and a car filled with powder smoke. A trail of floor junk that dribbled through the freshly-minted hole in the backseat floorboard followed them to where they ran off the road into a corn field. Damn. We used to make our own fun down on the farm.
Yeah, we did stuff like that. We were driving around, lighting and throwing those things that had metal propellers on them out of the car. Wouldn't you know, my buddy threw one of them out and it came right back in the window, bounced all around inside the car and blew up. Fun times when you are young and stupid.
Dumbasses! We did that stuff in High School, but we used a curtain rod taped up at one end as a launch tube!
