"Why, I remember back in the old days..."

  1. Nah, I was buying in bulk, 1000 rounds, paying .16-.18 per round, but remember a decade ago, it was under $10 for a box of 50 round of 9mm...under .10 per round! Now, look up gunbroker.com, the assholes are bidding on, like .90 per round for 1000 rounds, they're driving the prices up...can't wait for things to settle down and get back to reality, prolly later on in 2021 or so...

    1. Yeah, my local Dunham's would sell 9mm fmj for 8.99$ a box of 50. That adds up to .18 per round. 10$ per 50 is .20 per round. I have enough 9mm that I won't buy any right now, at this price. I hope that it goes down someday. But I am not holding my breath.

  2. After I started reloading, .38-.357 would cost me less than $.03/round with my used brass.

  3. When I got started shooting handguns in 02 we used to pick up 1000 round cases of factory remanufactured 9x19 Luger ammo for $70 (when you bought 5 or more, otherwise it was $90).

Now it's not uncommon to see 50rnd boxes of 9x19 FMJ for upwards of $40+ per box.

Shotgun ammo is even worse, at $45+ per 25 end box for buck, and $50 per 5rnd box for some slugs.

  5. .22LR bx of 500 $9.00-$10.00. Then I saw that same box jump to $90.00. Sure glad it came down for a while. Today, $120.00
