Federal appeals court to reconsider ruling that overturned California’s ban on high-capacity magazines

A federal appeals court said Thursday that it will reconsider a three-judge court’s split ruling last year throwing out California’s ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines, a decision with potential impact in other states.

An 11-member panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will rehear the case after two members of the three-judge appellate panel ruled in August that California’s ban on magazines holding more than 10 bullets violates the U.S. Constitution’s protection of the right to bear firearms.

  2. Of course it is being appealed, the socialist agenda was not met with the lower court and therefore the leftists will not stop until they get what they want. Just like this past "election", they knew that Trump would win so they change the rules to make sure they win. I am so damn sick and tired of the evil left winning every single time. This has got to stop but what can you do, especially since voting doesn't work anymore? Us, on the right, try and play by the rules which the left never do. Hybo

  3. From what I thought I knew of the rules, it is no surprise that this is being sent to this larger panel for them to look at the ruling. Trump did get a few conservative judges on the 9th district court, but not enough to change it. Hopefully, the panel that hears the appeal will have enough of the judges on it that have an actual legal mind that they will sustain the decision. Not holding my breath.

  5. Doesn't matter how they decide. Liberal judges agreeing with the lower court's decision will be replaced. Conservative judges will be replaced with liberal judges when their term expires regardless. It's the 9th jerkit court.

  6. Gotta overturn the 3-judge panel so there is no split among the circuits. No split, no SCOTUS.
