Survivormann, that was absolutely necessary training. You don't try stuff like that in a hot zone that you've never trained for unless it's a truly dire situation, and then you have to be very lucky.
#1 is why Raccoons are such pests; they are VERY smart #9 story of my life. Now that little boy probably experienced female rejection for the 1st time. Poor kid.
#3 makes me glad I was a fixed-wing Avionics Tech, not an Airframer/Corrosion Controller in a helo outfit.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that same way. The corrosion's on that ramp's gotta be a cast iron bitch.
DeleteI am wondering how many man hours were necessary to clean up the mess. Unless that extraction was in a hot zone, was it worth it?
DeleteNo big deal, just have the base or ships firefighting guys hose it down. Really rather routine unless under fire.
DeleteI'm glad I was as well. VAST tech & operator (S-3B gear), W/C 65P/65Q, CV 67 and CV 59, 1989-92.

Delete#1 is that personal video from Wisco?
ReplyDeleteMadMarlin
RACcoons around here have relatives from Cu Chi (woodchucks) visiting and teaching them.
DeleteKeeps me on my toes...
#6 the Tong isn't the only Chinese racket.
ReplyDelete#9 That boy has learned a lesson that he could have learned no other way.
ReplyDeleteBut-and like the rest of us-he will keep coming back for more.
DeleteIs the lesson:
Delete* 'Violence against males is cute'?
* 'Violence against males is acceptable if the assailant is female'?
Is the lesson:
* 'Males are expendable because females are worth more than males'?
Is the lesson:
* 'Females get to decide'?
