NEW ORLEANS - The city of New Orleans on Friday announced new COVID-19 restrictions to prevent crowds ahead of this year's Mardi Gras celebration. From February 12 to February 16, the city will close all bars, ban the sale of to-go drinks, and halt all large gatherings, among other measures.
Last year's ignoring of this risk caused a huge surge of cases in NOLA. I don't recall any calling out of mainly Democratic politicians who ignored the risk.
ReplyDeleteMust have been a fluke.
Mardi Gras is celebrated from Mobile to New Orleans. The Mississippi gulf coast has better Mardi Gras than NOLA.
ReplyDeleteMardi Gras is celebrated much further West than that shithole no la.
DeleteCome check out the Courir de Mardi Gras in Mamou, Eunice, Church Point or Basile Louisiana if you want to have a real celebration of Fat Tuesday.

Cases, Cases, Cases........where's the death stats?????
ReplyDeleteI live in the Greater New Orleans suburbs and our bars and restaurants are looking forward to the increase in business by the New Orleanians coming across the 17th street canal for some food and drink. Mayor LaToya "the destroya" Cantrell of New Orleans wont be happy until she has driven every business out of New Orleans!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go into that crap hole if you paid me.

Okay, now they've stopped governing and started meddling.
ReplyDeleteMore dictates from the grifters.
DeleteOoooo, skeery!
I'm sure the mayor will be lauded copiously on many of the 2022 Mardi Gras floats.
