One of my coworkers who owns one those 'skateboard' sized cars does the same thing. Tiny ass little thing, not the same model. I was the passenger in that car once, damn funny to see a fat ass old guy pulling himself out of that.
Same here, had mine hit by a someone in a 1-ton truck who whipped it around and backed into the spot where my bike was parked. Never looked, never saw it. After that I started parking on the sidewalk.
I was always told to park my bike prominently in a parking spot. If it was too deep, you ran the risk of someone wheeling into the spot, thinking it was empty, and smashing into your motorcycle. The way the idiot flatlanders drive around here, I believed him.
