Going above and beyond the call of duty

A New Jersey police chief “clawed” across a frozen New Jersey river Thursday to rescue a 2-year-old girl and her mother who had fallen through the ice.

Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno jumped into action after hearing a 37-year-old woman and her toddler were stuck in the Passaic River, NorthJersey.com reported.

    1. You'll change your tune when they tell you to pay $500 because of a 'California stop' at 3 AM on a deserted road. Or when they show up at your home to cage you because you didn't pay their $500 extortion money. Or when they show up to take your guns because their masters deem them unlawful.

    2. Anon, what they hell is wrong with you? Maybe all you said it true - not likely in every case. But this woman and her child are alive because of his actions. Don't lose the focus.

  3. From the link:
Foligno managed to get the woman and child out of the frigid waters and into the kayak to wait for rescuers.
By that point, the tot was going in and out of consciousness, police said. [...]
“While we were waiting I laid on top of them to get some body heat and the child had started to blink,” Foligno said.
Emergency responders said the child’s core temperature had dropped to the mid 80s when they got to her [25 minutes later].

    1. BZ, Chief Foligno.
    2. Cue sexual harassment charges ("I laid on top of them") in 3, 2, ...
And if the Chief's social media turns out to have any conservative or generally pro-American content, it'll be child molestation charges. (Remember the enemy is all about projection. What they accuse YOU of, they've already done, or really really want to do.)

  4. Much more heroic than my probable inaction of "Damn, they're gonna die".
