Good advice. Before I started carrying a gun every time I stepped out of the house, I didn't much give a shit about walking into any situation. Now that I do, I avoid anything that even looks like it might be trouble. Who needs the trouble or expense of defending yourself in court?
Plandemic, lockdowns, disallowed free association, businesses closed down, employees denied a paycheck, contrary advice from medical 'experts' including the state public health director who demands others honor his perversion, massive election fraud, censoring of free speech, and on and on. All these and more have created a mental health crisis.
On top of that is the onset of a cold winter. These kind of behaviors, which in the past may have just been squabbles, but are now ratcheted up to become criminal, should come as no surprise as people struggle to adjust in what they see as severe erosion of their individual liberties under a totalitarian dictatorship. The country of their youth - or, merely the illusion of that, is taken away. People are being pushed past their breaking point and they are snapping.
Having an autistic son inside who depended on them for everything did not dissuade them from making their first priority trying to prevail in a senseless vulgar argument. The "perfect storm" of Covid, political upheaval, mask stress, and a snowstorm. This was not their first double-team oral attack, but it was the first time they got murdered for it. Prediction: rude people be getting killed a lot.
Likely a FALSE FLAG. 1. home video, CLEAR and WITH audio. 2. 'victims' see shooter with gun, taunts him, woman takes out cell to video. neither 'victim' ducks, runs or tries to leave as 5-6 shots are fired. 3. where's the blood? it's 'color' video, see the red side of the car, brick house? 4.woman bad play actor, watch her 'fall down'. 5. first neighbor, walks past woman to look at man shot, second neighbor does the same. strange. 6. muffled 'gunshot' after shooter returns to his house, doesn't match 'NBC' story. "Cops heard shots" see any cops? FINALLY,, look who posted this to twitter NYC assembly person, linked to 'GUN CONTROL' see donate to at bottom. Of course, you're expected to believe your lying eyes, because it's too insane to be 'fake', right?
1) The video system I had in California had audio and was clear enough to read the license plate on a car parked at the curb from my front door. 2) Could be disbelief that it's happening. 3) The heavy clothing they were wearing probably soaked up the blood. 4) Is there a standard way to fall after being shot? 5) Again, disbelief and not knowing what to do. 6) Cops might've been a block or two away. The sound of gunshots travel, especially in colder weather. I heard my neighbor shooting this morning and he lives 400 yards away.
Curious how long all those involved have owned guns. Miguel above spells it out clearly, a long time gun owner knows it just aint worth it as a way to settle an argument. The "mostly peaceful protests" this past summer have created a bunch of first time armed left wing homeowners who can see between the lines, in fact, are rather far conflicted, about being a gun owner, but buy guns they did. Yes, they probably had to take the safety course, which is good, but it dont give you gun smarts, like when to use or just keep it holstered and walk away. The only thing that will help gun ownership going forward is that a lot of left-wingers now own guns for the first time and are now experiencing what draconian laws can do. Eyes wide open.

As usual this incident's gonna give guns a bad rep. Forget the 2 assholes who used the inert tools to duel with.

Blame the covids. If they had been to work, they could have got rid of stress and anger instead of taking it out on snow. Fauci's fault.

ReplyDeleteAs Robert Heinlein used to say (via characters in his stories):
Delete“An armed society is a polite society.”
Seems to me we would benefit from universally returning to that condition.
Of course, a few of the more rude individuals would be ejected from the gene-pool in the process, but I consider that a feature, not a bug.
Sounds like Robert Earl Keen. When Kindness Fails
