For two hours Trebay worked with McGagh to resolve the issue by reaching out to different departments and trying to get things handled. Eventually, McGagh purchased a new phone and left the store.

The camera doesn't lie, Karen
On April 24, 2017, Karen McGagh entered a Verizon store in Towson, Maryland, to repair her broken cell phone. Verizon store employee Glenn Trebay assisted McGagh by taking her to his desk to look over her account, where he discovered she had an outstanding balance preventing him from replacing her phone.

ReplyDeleteBesides going are whatever assets she may have, and I suspect very little of worth, Trebay should file a $$$$$$$$ suit against Verizon for dismissal, loss of income and slander of character.

ReplyDeleteNow that is what I would like to say but I’m not going to. What I truly feel is that she is the one being wronged! Verizon should of just given her a new phone since the one she had was broken, and her debts should be waived as she is a good person deep down. The judge, OMG THE JUDGE should be disbarred and jailed, matter fact all involved should be in jail as pooor ol Karen is a sweet girl and did nothing wrong, the system is mean and if run by a bunch of hateful white racist men.

Judge said, Never seen a case like this. That's cuz usually the women's word is taken and the man goes to prison. He is lucky it was all on film. If a female friend of my wife stops by and I'm alone I'll be polite, talk to them outside but they don't come into the house. My wife knows this and that's the way it is, period.

ReplyDeleteThat isn't the half of it. She appealed and the decision was reversed under free speech rights. The state then appealed the reversal and the conviction was upheld. It makes for fascinating reading if you enjoyed business law class or if you just have a sense of humor.

Thanks for that link. Interesting read, although I started skimming as my eyes glossed over. Reading that writeup sorta makes me think, “Why use a hundred words when twenty thousand will do?” She needs the whole ten years behind bars. One is moved to wonder if her attorney(s) ever got paid, given her past history. She definitely sounds like a sociopath.
