Tennessee bill would ban executive orders which close businesses, stops assembly or travel
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A Tennessee lawmaker is sponsoring a bill targeting the powers of the governor and local leaders when it comes to businesses, gatherings, and more.
State Representative Bud Hulsey (R-Kingsport) submitted HB700 this week, stating the governor or local governments cannot issue an executive order which requires a private business to close.
If we have rights: to live, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (self sufficiency) then gubmint does NOT have the right to tell us to shut down or self quarantine or any of that shit.
Don't we already have that? It's called the 1st ammendment, I think. Could be wrong.... fact checking now.... " the right of the people peaceably to assemble". So.... yeah, business, churches.... family gatherings just might be considered a peaceable assembly... Jes sayin'
