NEW YORK CITY- What could possibly go wrong with this scheme? A city council candidate in New York City is proposing to slash the $6 billion dollar NYPD budget by half—and that’s only the beginning.
She claims that her end goal is to build a system where police wouldn’t be needed at all, according to an article in the Jackson Heights Post.

Maybe if y’all can convince representatives like oh say, AOC to stop defeating employment-opportunity entities like Amazon, your job creating would stand a better chance. Just a thought.
In an anarchy police aren't needed because vigilantes will take their place. Crime will be legal...unless the vigilantes catch the criminals, and then justice will be swift. No court, no lawyers, no appeals. Long rope, tall tree (or street lamp), over and done with. The city council candidate is getting things backwards: you don't get rid of crime by doing away with the police. You get rid of the police by doing away with crime. Since this candidate has it backwards, getting rid of the police like she wants should start with her neighborhood/district to let her see just how well her plan works out. Let her experience the hell her plan will create first hand.
What should be happening in NYFC is blow all 11 bridges and mine the rivers or install salt water croc's to deter boating and swimming to escape. Give everyone an AK and 1000 rounds and a couple pounds of seeds to grow food.
Come back in 10 years and see who and/or what is left.
I'm thinking most everyone will be dead after the first winter. You'll be able to smell it from 20 miles downwind for 20 years, then it can be bulldozed and reclaimed, maybe.
Nice to see that Governor Cumstain shot himself in the foot over finally admitting that he committed a crime by covering up the real stats on elderly deaths from Covid last year. 'Course he is a Demonrat, so that will probably be forgiven so he can run for Pres. in 2024. His book on "Leadership", written to toot his own horn and polish his resume, sold ~12K copies the first week and since then has been a dud. The only sales since are to libraries.
If they cut the police budget by half, they can use the money they saved to build the extra morgues and crematoriums that will be needed to dispose of the bodies that will pile up from the low life's having nothing to even attempt to reign them in. As for all of the rational people leaving, it won't be a problem, they will be able to drive on either side of the road, since there won't be anyone attempting to drive INTO the city. At least this idiot is just a candidate, and not already in office. It gives them a fighting chance to not have her in office. The rest is their choice, and they will have to live with it. pigpen51
This reminds me of the Sheriff who was asked why he carried a .45.....his answer?.....because I couldn't find a .46....of course we don't need law enforcement....there was never a person who responded to the lack of law without prejudice, discretion, or conscious....said no one ever....
