Not the cute little fuckers we think they are

  1. From the tufts on the ears, that appears to be a caracal, and no they aren't small.

  2. Does anyone know what the purpose is of the long hair on the ears? I know whiskers they think allow for a cat to know if they can fit in a hole. I wonder if the long hair on the ears attracts prey? Like if they are laying down and let the wind blow the hair? Just curious. Baby copper heads have a yellow tail they wiggle so it looks like a worm. Nature, a wonderful thing.

    1. Multiple purposes Bright Eyes. Primary is to focus sound, they have better long range hearing than other cats, also more muscles attached to the ears than other cats. Secondary is sensory, similar to whiskers, to detect overhead branches while on stalk. Additional include communication, camouflage, and swatting flies.

Those fuckers can actually jump high enough to hunt flying birds in the air! Their piss is so concentrated that they can live without drinking water. They can adapt to nearly any environment, yet they are slowly going extinct due to human activity. Farmers kill them to protect livestock, not realizing they kill other predators.

  4. Don't have to be big to cause damage either. Our little house kitten, playful as Hell, bit me on my calf as I walked buy. She is like that. Well, the bite became infected and I am taking Kflex (Cephalexin) antibiotic to kill it. Just a little bite, but infection from it became an issue.
