Small Police Departments Feeling Squeeze Of Skyrocketing Ammo Prices
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A record demand for guns because of the pandemic is leading to an incredible demand for ammo. And it’s not just individual gun owners searching high and low.
What about the billions of rounds of ammo bought under the Oblowme's admin? Check with the SSA, USPS, FDA, BLM (Bureau of Land Management), etc., etc. to get that ammo back.
I sold my oldest brother 2 boxes of 9mm FMJ 115 grain a couple of weeks ago, for 10 bucks a box. That is what I paid for it, and that is what I charged him. I know, I could have easily gotten 40$ online for each box. My ammo is not for sale, unless it is to someone like my brother, who only bought his pistol late last summer, and didn't have the time or the thought to stock up on ammo. I told him, I could help him out again if he ran out, but to be conservative for now. I have a bit more than 1 thousand rounds, but less than 2 thousand. most of it is fmj, with only about 2-300 rounds of defensive hollowpoint. I carry Hornady XTP, but I have some other plain JHP, that I ordered with some FMJ due to the bulk pack price, which was 9 cents per round for the whole thing. I find it unacceptable that any police dept. doesn't have a supply large enough to maintain at least 2-3 years of practice. When I was in high school, I spent a week at the Michigan State Police Academy, doing the trooper thing. They used reloads on the indoor range, they had a vendor that supplied them, and there were 55 gallon drums of them sitting everywhere. That was in 1977, in the days of the .38 special 4 inch revolver. They trained us high school kids, male and female, how to safely shoot a handgun, with some degree of accuracy, in less than 3 days. The first day was spent in the classroom, covering safety, sight picture, the guns themselves, etc. That week at the police academy got me in super shape, and the rest of the summer I kept running, doing cals, and other things that let me enter our football season conditioning in the best condition of anyone that had ever come in, up until that time. It made a difference, since I had several scholarships for college. Sadly, I fell in love, and spent my next 35 years making steel in a foundry. She fell out of love after 11 years, but I got 3 fantastic kids out of it. Oh, and I recently looked it up. I was lucky enough to pay over 137,000$ in child support, over 17.5 years. I am guessing that would have made me a millionaire, had I invested it. I am not a millionaire, but I am debt free, have enough money to live comfortably on, and am 28 years married to the only woman that I could ever think of being married to. I prefer my life now to a million dollars, by far.
The demand for guns has nothing to do with the "pandemic". Unless we're talking the communist pandemic.

He couldn’t clean this mess in 4 years with a division of helicopters spraying zyklonB over the infested areas, the rats breed too fast

We went down this road before during the Obama years when ammo was scarce. The P.D. couldn't get the ammo they need for range practice.
ReplyDeleteYou watched any of those asshats shoot?
DeleteThey weren't practicing even before the shortages.

It sure makes the two gallon bucket of cleaned 9mm brass in the basement and the means to fill them look mighty good.
