Why I love Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nearly a million Tennesseans bought firearms in 2020, according to new data released by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

This the highest spike in gun sales in state history.

TBI officials say the pandemic, civil unrest and the presidential election all served as the catalysts for the rise.

  1. And that is good news.
    Florida was 1.5 million.
    US was 39.7 million

    1. Of course, how many of these millions of purchases are going to people who are on the other side of the equation? Gun sales in my area are way up, too - and most of the folks around here ain't exactly what you'd called "liberty minded".

  4. Holy Crap! Almost as many guns were sold in Illinois in the month of December as were sold in all of 2020 in Tennessee!

  6. There are a few ammo aggrefator sites out there who spider sellers sites and report who has ammo for sale and immediate delivery.
Unfortunately, what is availabke is not cheap. I bought a few boxes of hunting / hog loads yesterday. Ouch.

  8. Well I'm in east Tennessee and went to a VERY CROWDED gun show this past weekend hoping to find ammo. It was there....but in limited lots and at exorbitant prices. This ammo shortage has got to stop.... I wonder where the government stores all those trillions of rounds they bought up back in the Hussein "administration"?
