10 people killed in Colorado supermarket shooting

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A shooting at a Colorado supermarket killed 10 people Monday, including a police officer who was the first to respond to the scene, authorities said.

Police arrested a suspect, but didn’t reveal his name or any details about the shooting at an evening news conference where Boulder police Chief Maris Herold fought back tears.

    1. In the US over 80% of people have 3 names. It is the people with NMI who stand out. Of course the middle name is only used on government papers or if your mama is really pissed off at you.

    2. Muslim. Really. Full islamic name and everything. So, of course, it's going to be 'White Supremacy.'

  2. As of 0820 am, EST: no information on the shooter or shooters. That usually means either a not-white person or a democrat/liberal supporter. If the Preston was wearing a MAGA hat, we world have know while the shots were still being fired. Time will tell.

  3. "didn’t reveal his name or any details". Red flag, alarm bells, ETC. Probably somebody that will embarrass the elites.

  4. We closed all the mental hospitals many years ago after the Hollywood farce "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Now we wonder why we have such a serious problem with homelessness, drug addiction, and violent outbursts from those in mental crisis/mental breakdown. Ignoring their plight and failing to realistically address the issue demeans their humanity and degrades our social fabric, freedoms, and the country's future. Were there abuses?.. of course. Mass shootings?.. not so much.

    1. We have 80 million voters proudly announcing that they have mental health issues. That's a big number to deal with so democrats will just ignore it.

  5. So I took a class last night to re-up my ccw. Now in order to qualify I must consent to a full background check of my entire medical history. They say it’s to evaluate my mental capabilities. The form already had a clause about mental illness, with the consequence of federal charges for false answers. Guilty till proven innocent? Or checking my vax record? My rights determined by my vax status? I should not have to “qualify” or pay a fee for the “privilege” of the state allowing me to exercise my God given right to defend myself as I see fit. After all they are the ones I am currently defending myself against.

    2. Have not made up my mind on the next course of action, have not submitted any paperwork as of yet. One thing is for sure, I will not be forced to comply with an experimental dna scrambler. I live very, very rural so open carry is no problem, unless the cows, goats and chickens turn on me.

    3. Just say no. No to having to get permission to exercise your right. Check the laws in your area and if they're not too harsh, carry anyway. That's what I do as the laws where I live are only misdemeanors if violated (carrying w/o a license). I'm prepared to take responsibility for that if it happens...

    1. Nah, Trump is responsible for inciting Deplorable hatred of homosexual Syrian Muslims.

Ol' Ahmad is the real victim here -- oppressed by straight, white, Christian Trump supporters, he patiently endured all the cruel homophobia and Islamophobia until he snapped, poor thing, and could take no more.

  14. The Senate committee takes up HB8 (Universal Background Checks and other outrages) today.

    What a co-inky-dink.

King Soopers has a policy against open carry in their stores, if not an outright ban.

And finally, an ID on the shooter:
