Looking back, that wasn't such a good idea after all, was it?
Democratic Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler submitted a request to the Portland City Council on Thursday for a one-time $2 million expenditure for police, months after the council voted to cut nearly $16 million from the police bureau’s budget.

Ah, the eternal problem I see in the Liberal thought process: "I didn't mean for THAT to happen!" They seem to continuously have some optimistic dream that things will work as they intend, and forget the basic economics that comes into play with everything. The liberal that thinks everything should be free, because large corporation have so much money they can afford to give it away. The government subgroup that thinks defunding the police will protect the people from the police. Shoot, if communism would actually work, I'd be the first in line for it, but I have a basic level of understanding just how wrong that goes...shoot, someone wrote a fun book with little animals to try to get this point across, and they STILL can't grasp it...maybe it needed to be a picture book?

ReplyDeleteHa, a lot of that was forced cuts caused by the departure of many LEO's on the force. I would like to see an analysis of any and all new hires.
Just because someone is elected to a position it doesn't mean they know shit about how to manage it. This dude caved to the rioters when he should have called out the Guard and supported the cops. Think any of these fucks will learn anything from this? Don't bet on it!
