Trappers in Alaska gave showed me pictures of wolverines snared around the neck that, when found were standing with their hind feet against the tree truck and leaning straight out away from the tree snarling and snapping... They are serous little badasses.
Eskimo I knew and believed told of chasing one and driving his snow machine over it, thinking he had it trapped where he could despatch it. Proved wrong. Said there for made good ruffs for parkas because they didn't ice up from breath.

ReplyDeleteI've heard stories of wolverines dragging a road-kill moose off the road for munching. They're reported to be extremely powerful.
