My wife and I were on I10 in N. Florida, where there are long stretches of a really good game fencing. My wife asked if the fences were to keep cars from running into trees. I said they were to keep deer from running onto the highway. About a mile later we saw two deer meandering on the grass between the highway and the fence. They must not have seen the memo telling deer they were incapable of jumping over the fence.
Man, just the other day I was driving up Ellington Drive in Lafayette just off Hwy 52 and I saw a deer crossing the road, so I slowed and looked to my left and I swear, there must've been 20 more deer dashing across the road - in the middle of the morning and in a populated part of town.
Hell. 'round these parts, you kick 'er down and play through, then swing around and come back to throw 'em in the back, 'less they're still running, in which case it might take a couple of passes. -Wisconsin ditch runner.
Chasing tail will often mess with your head, and get you into trouble!
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad Santa wasn't hit! Prancer might have a worker's comp claim though.

ReplyDeleteNot a country boy, apparently. Around here, if you see one run across the road, slow the hell down & look for the others.
