Wait... they killed a one legged crow, a fawn and a half blind retarded RACcoon?
PETOSKY, Mich. — Michigan wildlife officials charged a woman for taking care of wildlife without a permit then seized six animals from her refuge and killed them.
You're only surprised because you think wildlife officials should be taking care of wildlife. They aren't. Like most government agents, they're there to control humans. Humans that interact with wildlife is just their specialty.
And just like that! 3 new voters were born! Whad ya wanna bet they vote fer trump and think cops be their friends! Oh, right. Nobody is that dumb......... Hahahahahahahaha Fuck commies
This is a prime example of why we should all love government.
“That’s why the DNR is in place, we have places for these animals. We just can’t rehab every animal that we get a call on. I understand that Julie took in everything. But what happens is, she has to call us and say she has it,” Gorno said. “We just don’t want everybody to do it and not be inspected because then you’re going to have facilities that aren’t good for these animals.”
I would think a facility that is not good for the animal is one that would kill it. Doublespeak much?
“We put out press releases every spring saying, do not pick up wildlife, do not keep wildlife, do not take wildlife out of the wild,” Gorno said. “It’s illegal and it’s not good for wildlife.
Not good for wildlife??
I hate government of all stripes and colors. Every single one of them.
And yet you spend so much of your time subsidizing the one we are currently plagued with. Get off the keyboard and go break something that moves water or power.
Well, I have mixed feelings. I live in eastern Tennessee, and there's a bear around here that some folk started feeding. At the end of the summer, it started wandering through everybody's yards and tearing things up. It destroyed my garden, ripped apart a plastic yard box, broke a bunch of terra cotta planters and destroyed a trash can. Our house alarm went off at 4 in the morning with the warning that someone broke a window. I went to investigate; the window was fine, but there was a paw print on it. The county bear guy (yes, we have a guy in our county whose job is to deal with bears like this) told us to keep our trash in the garage and do some other stuff in the hope it would give up and go somewhere else. We haven't seen it this winter, but it may return in the spring.
All because some people who moved here from California thought it was cool see bears, and put out food for it. Yeah, a raccoon with Down's Syndrome is a different thing, but the issue is not black and white.
You must be speaking of The Empress of Lansing, Gretchen Half Whit. I kind of understand the reasoning behind euthanizing these animals, but I also understand that it appears to be a case of a bureaucrat attempting to prove that they have the ability to do what they want, and screw the people. My wife has an aunt and uncle who live in Petoskey during summer. They are down in Florida right now, where they spend their winters in a trailer, set in a park. I and my wife have spent quite a bit of time in Petoskey, only during the summers. It is a beautiful place, now with a big casino, and the new businesses that have sprung up to make money off the casino fall out. It was in the news today that the state represents the area near Detroit, where they have a few Indian casinos, proposed legislation to stop any further casino's from being opened, unless they are on Indian land, or through a multi step process. The funny thing is, here in Muskegon, they had a harness racetrack, that went under. The Indians have been trying to build a casino on that land, jumping through hoop after hoop. When they were now in the home stretch, with building set to begin soon, perhaps as soon as this year, and now, the State Rep from the casino capitol of the state, is trying to stop any added casino's. A cynical person might think that the guy was trying to keep any competition from taking any business away from them.
Says all we need to know about the bureaucratic mind......

Did Whitler rush over so she could do it herself?
