Why wasn't this done as soon as they legalized it?

Nearly 26,000 people with felony marijuana convictions on their records in San Diego County had them reduced to misdemeanors last month.

In addition some 1,000 people with misdemeanor cannabis convictions had their cases completely dismissed, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Sunday.

  1. I know a guy who got 20 to life for 6 grams of weed in Washington state and he's still sitting in prison.

  2. I know someone who had a CA drug conviction that was later expunged thanks to the changed laws of CA. He moved to GA and became a dealer there...

  3. I'm all for letting people out of prison when the laws change like the weed laws have, but expunging their records? Not so much. I mean, they did commit the crime, and not liking the law isn't an excuse, even if society eventually comes to agree with you.
