The ArmaLite-style assault rifle was among the items being advertised in the Project Graduation raffle. The news sparked some parents to ask how raffling a military-style firearm for a school-related function would be appropriate given deadly mass shootings that have taken place at schools over the years.
I bet they won’t object to any monies raised from that rifle.
ReplyDeleteThey could say the rifle is fake, like the shootings.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Jesus carry an AR? If he didn't, he should have. Ohio Guy
ReplyDeleteLet 'em get away with the "assault rifle" tag rather than "modern sporting rifle"...
ReplyDeleteWe do gun raffles to raise money for girls softball around here.

Assault rifle?!! Do they mean it has a fun switch?

This is almost too funny.
ReplyDeleteCouldn’t find the link to buy a ticket.
ReplyDeletePretty rare that a raffle includes an item in high demand & short supply.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy a ticket!

'assault rifle', 'military-style'?
ReplyDeleteDang, sign me up! Especially if it has a 'barrel shroud' and a 'thing that goes up'.
I have to ask why the school needs more money? Schools here in Texas have more money than they need. Of course they always WANT more and the tax office delivers. Texas schools pays their superintendents almost if not more than the President of the United States makes. And they keep real quiet about that. They build new schools that cost more than top secret bomb resistant CIA buildings. And then after 12 years their students cannot spell, do mathematics or speak to adults. If the K to 12 schools were a business they would have gone bankrupt 30 years ago. Parents need to start home schooling their kids.
ReplyDeleteBut I love all there new high school football stadiums.
DeleteHopefully the raffle money will go to support a school shooting team.
DeleteWon't that put a twist in liberal undergarments!

The systemic pussification of America continues....
ReplyDeleteHigh school have sold B 17 bombers... so, wtf. Those who don't learn from history, are clueless just how damn insignificant their gripes are today. https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2021/03/the-post-ww2-sale-of-b-17s-for.html
ReplyDeleteAs heavy as a box for moving?

* this is a reference to sheila jackson and her concerns about the lesser-known cousin of the AR rifle, the equally-horrible BOX rifle.
