Biden prepares to sign SIX executive orders cracking down on firearms

President Joe Biden on Thursday described mass shootings in America as a 'public health crisis' and declared 'no amendment to the constitution is absolute' as he unveiled a series of executive orders designed to curb gun violence.

He started off on the defensive, declaring he was not trying to impinge on the Second Amendment, an argument gun rights groups, Republicans and some Democrats have made.

Biden unveiled six actions his administration is taking: a crackdown on the proliferation of 'ghost guns,' which are built from kits; tighten requirements on pistol braces that allow for more accurate shooting; the Department of Justice will publish 'red flag' legislation for the states; invest in evidence-based community violence interventions; and DoJ will issue an annual report on gun trafficking.

'Nothing I'm about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment. These are phony arguments, suggesting that these are second amendment rights at stake,' he said at the event in the Rose Garden.

  1. I wonder if his speechwriter has a dictionary:

    im·pinge
    /imˈpinj/

verb: impinge; 3rd person present: impinges; past tense: impinged; past participle: impinged; gerund or present participle: impinging

have an effect or impact, especially a negative one.

    1. Since this EO was drafted by lawyers, who know "words mean things", "impinge" was most carefully chosen. The Second Amendment says "shall not be "INFRINGED", so what Biden is doing is legal. (Or so it will be argued.)

It's sort of like the difference between "Assault Rifle" and "Assault WEAPON" that the gungrabbers have for years tried to convince us are the same thing.

But, since laws are meaningless to this administration*, his EO's are meaningless to me.

    2. infringe
      [inˈfrinj]
      VERB
infringed (past tense) · infringed (past participle)
actively break the terms of (a law, agreement, etc.).
"making an unauthorized copy would infringe copyright"
      synonyms:
contravene · violate · transgress · break · breach · commit a breach of · disobey · defy · flout · fly in the face of · ride roughshod over · kick against · fail to comply with · [more]
act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on.
"his legal rights were being infringed" · [more]
      synonyms:
undermine · erode · diminish · weaken · impair · damage · compromise · limit · curb · check · place a limit on · encroach on · interfere with · disturb · disrupt · trespass on · impinge on · intrude on · enter · invade · barge in on · burst in on · entrench on

So, yeah. The administration's adaptation is apt but utterly incorrect.

See the definition above, especially "limit · curb · check · place a limit on".

By this definition EVERY law that limits, curbs, checks or places a limit on our right to keep & bear arms is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

The left wants us disarmed for a reason, they mean to do things that we would shoot them for.

When they come to my house to do it to me they will be shot.

  2. And not ONE WORD about rounding up black and brown gang members that kill other black and brown folks.
The REAL root of the “problem” with “gun violence”.
Stay tuned for ver. 2.0 cuz we all know their true intent and we all know this isn’t going to do shit to criminals.

He is aware that private citizens used to own artillery and armed naval vessels? He is right, slaves were disarmed.

  11. “No amendment...is absolute.” That’s why a process to repeal or amend exists, you fuckin moron, and said process is written in the Constitution. Executive fiat is not that process, Dooshcanoe.

  14. The way I understand 80% receivers is when finished, they are considered home made and ineligible to be sold or transferred even when you die. So if I get a serial number and do a 4473 background check can I now make and sell them without being a FFL manufacturer? Who would issue s/n? What would be the official name be on receiver? Couldn't I just stamp anything I want on one? Who'd know the difference? When I do the 4473 how could I transfer them to my self? I think it's just a big bluff. I think they are trying to distract attention from bidens plan for gun control nazi david chipman atf director.

    1. There was a guy in Bakersfield who built an AR from an 80% receiver, then applied to the CA DOJ in an attempt to register it with them and comply with California laws at the time. When he sent the six page application to them with the required photographs of the build they saw something they didn't like, so they sent a team of CA DOJ 'Special Agents' to his home to seize not just his build but all of his firearms.
The last I heard of this case was a couple of years ago after he had been charged with
      seven felonies.
And all he wanted to do was comply.

    2. "Ghost guns" are not for everyday use and carry, or even for use and left at a crime scene.

They're the "Surprise, motherfucker!" pieces for after all the serialized guns are taken.

  19. I watched the man who would be king give his speech in the Rose Garden today. Each word that came out of his mouth got progressively more offensive to anyone who even bears the slightest amount of respect for the 2nd amendment. I am close to a couple of young men who own modern sporting rifles. I plan on telling them that if they are banned, I will buy them for a dollar, and break the chain of any serial number that an FFL dealer has filled out, and which the BATFEieio's may try and use to confiscate guns.
Of course, then I will throw them into the lake, in order to keep them out of the hands of undesirables.
I have seen this coming, just like the rest of you, for months. And just like you, I am in fact, as pissed as I can remember being in years. But I also know that there is no actual use in fighting this, no matter what the appeals that I have gotten all day today in my email inbox from the usual suspects want to say. The Supreme Court will most likely not touch this entire issue, they have become nothing but a bunch of pussies when it comes to anything that could cause huge disagreements and possible civil confrontation. It should not be that way, but I understand that the Justices are only human, and have lives, families, homes, etc. to go home to , without wanting to worry about retribution from haters from those who disagree with their choice.
I do hope that the SCOTUS decides to go ahead and take a case of this, with a preliminary injunction, because this case could take months, even years, to wind it's way through to a decision. And an injunction is the only way to keep the status quo until such a decision.
One other item of note, and possibly even worse, from Joe Biden, president pro tem, had to do with his nomination of David Chipman for the head of the snake, I mean, head of the BATFE. For those unfamiliar with Chipman, he is a former special agent for the BATFE, and a senior policy advisor to the Giffords. It is also noteworthy that upon his retirement from the BATFE, he immediately was hired by Bloomberg's Everytown. I will give the link for this information so you can read it yourself, but as you can see, Biden is putting an anti gun person in charge of the group responsible for enforcing gun laws.
One last thing, I almost forgot, he wants to remove the protection that gun manufactures and FFL dealers have against lawsuits for the result of the use of their products in a criminal act. Biden said that no other business in the country enjoyed such protection. Of course, I immediately thought of the vaccine that he is pushing on everyone and how big pharma was given immunity from any lawsuits for any negative effects that came as a result of the Covid 19 vaccine that was rushed through what normally is a multi year process. So while I am a Christian, I also worked in a foundry for 35 years, and I can only say to Biden and the Democrats, " Fuck you!"

  20. I really am tired of hearing of "cold dead hands" and "hot barrel" shit. If you can't cough up $25 to start the fight by joining, and supporting groups like, SAF or GOA I don't want to hear the bravado. I much prefer the legal options as an American. The road is long and winding, and we are not at that curve yet. btays

    2. Anonymous, just so you know, I have been supporting 3 different pro gun groups for quite some time. And I also would prefer legal options as an American. So tell us, in all of your wisdom, just what legal option do you propose when it becomes the law that you must turn in any " Assault Weapon"? Or that you must register any magazine with over 10 round capacity?
Do you hand them in, and then file a lawsuit trying to get them back? Or maybe tell them that they are violating the 2nd,4th, 9th and 10th amendments, and they have to change the law back?
To many of us, there is no bravado involved, just the determination that the founding fathers gave us something worth fighting for, and for the sake of our children and grandchildren, we have drawn a line which we won't allow to be crossed without us giving everything we posses to protect the freedom that lies on this side of that line.
We have seen all too many cases where people of other nations counted on the good faith of the leadership, and ended up either enslaved or dead. You may call it hyperbole, but it is a fact that we are very near the point where some very life changing decisions might be forced upon us. I wish you well, and I hope you understand that nobody wants the coming danger. We are not the ones who are forcing the issue, and we have been avoiding it for perhaps too long. I fear that Bozo Biden will make it something that we can no longer avoid. Running and hiding is no longer an option. The socialists want us either enslaved or dead. Harsh, but true.

  21. Pigpen, 'any law repugnant to the Constitution is null and void'. This E.O. isn't even law; it is an illegal dictate from a fruadulent president.

The black robed ones have upheld that decision at least three time following the original decision. Included is a citizen may shoot to death any person who seeks to deprive another of civil rights while under color of authority. Of course, we don't need no stinking court decision or law to tell us that. It is morally reprehensible for one to dictate to another. Game on, shoot on sight.

I will not argue gun control with anyone anymore. All I have to say on the subject, is, "NO!" Anyone quoting Founder's intent; meanings of words; laws; etc. is just chasing their tail, which is what the wannabe tyrants want you doing instead of facing the problem directly.
