The Battle of Stones River/Murfreesboro took place from December 31, 1862 to January 2, 1863. On the final day of battle, Confederate General Braxton Bragg order General John C. Breckinridge to attack the Union left flank with his entire division. The success of the first day of battle gave way to defeat on the last day for the Confederacy. This moment in the battle displays some of the most important and amazing feats performed by soldiers in combat.

Good ol' Braxton Bragg - probably the unsung MVP of the Union Army in the West. Certainly, no man did more to defeat the Confederacy.
